Officials,
1. Please fill out all game reports. Please indicate all multiple-minute penalties. Provide detail if anything unusual happens. Coaches are now filling out evaluations and we need a game report to compare it to if anything unusual is written.
2. Three man mechanics.
a. There has been some confusion regarding how counts are taken.
– The new mechanic is for the trail to take the 20 second and the lead to take the 10. This keeps it consistent with two man.
– However many have found this a bit awkward, and since a major advantage of three man is that the lead can get ahead of the play to focus on the goal it seems to be a bit regressive.
– The two other options are for single to take all counts, or for trail to take 20 and single to take the 10.
– How counts will be handled will be a crew decision before each game. The referee has the final decision.
b. Faceoffs
– Crew decision as to whether to use the traditional method, or to have the single take the faceoffs.
3. The scrimmage at Indianapolis Heritage Christian has been moved to 8:30am Saturday morning. Edward Sieferman cannot work at that time so if anyone else is going please let me know asap. Thanks.
4. At this time nobody has notified me that they are planning to work the scrimmage at Carmel tomorrow. Please let me know if you intend to be there.
