ILOA supplements the USA Lacrosse curriculum by holding training classes prior to the opening of the Spring season on March 1st.
In 2025, we will present 8 live, online sessions beginning on January 7th. In these, instructors will deliver the basics of lacrosse officiating as well as some advanced material. New officials will need to participate in at least 4 of these sessions, while veteran officials must attend at least 2. All are required to attend the New Rules session on February 4th.
We plan to make session recordings available later and are studying ways to confirm viewing them for certification credit. Since this is still currently unsettled, we recommend sticking to the live sessions. If you have conflicts that prevent you from attending, please contact us and we’ll try to work out an accommodation.

Registration with USA Lacrosse as an adult member is required by ILOA before games can be assigned. Membership information is available at the USA Lacrosse website.
